UPDATE
Due date: 31 July 2003 (Press release Didier Reynders 9 April 2003)

UPDATE
Due date: 29 August 2003 (Press release Didier Reynders 26 June 2003)

Context

The Royal Decree specifying the model of the income year 2002 resident tax return was published on 19 March 2003 in the Official Gazette(*).

News

Based on this Royal Decree, as was the case last year, the tax payer will be able to download the tax return from the tax administration web site, to complete it on-screen and to print it (home). He/she finally has to sign and date the printed tax return and to send it back (by post) to the tax authorities along with the signed and dated official paper version he received by (normal) post.

Last Friday, however, the Government issued a press release(**) announcing the availability for the income year 2002 tax returns of a full on-line filing system, but nothing has been specified yet, so at present, the filing procedure remains the one described above.
