Income year 2003 resident tax return: due date 30 July 2004

Context

The Royal Decree specifying the model of the income year 2003 resident tax return was published on 6 April 2004 in the Official Gazette(*).

News

During a press conference last week, the Minister of Finance Didier Reynders announced that 30 July 2004 will be the due date for the filing of the tax returns.

As was the case last year, the tax payer will be able to download the tax return from the tax administration web site, to complete it on-screen and to print it (home). He/she finally has to sign and date the printed tax return and to send it back (by post) to the tax authorities with the signed and dated official paper version received by (normal) post.

In addition to this, “tax on web”, the full on-line tax return filing system will be available as of 25 May 2004. New this year: “tax on web” proposes the full tax return (part 1 and 2) and is accessible also to proxy holders.
