Individual pension commitments concluded before 1 January 2004: 1 month to react!

 

According to article 57 §1 of the New Supplementary Pensions Act, employers are obliged to communicate separately not only the number of individual pension commitments (pensioenbelofte/ promesse de pension) concluded for the benefit of their salaried employees before 16 November 2003, but also those concluded between 16 November and 31 December 2003. These individual pension commitments are covered by key-man insurances or by internal balance sheet provisions.

The communication has to be made to the attention of the CBFA (“Commission Bancaire, Financiere et des Assurances” / “Commissie voor het Bank-, Financie- en Assurantiewezen”) by 15 May 2004 at the latest.
