Income year 2005 resident tax return – due date: 19 July 2006 but tolerance untill 31 July 2006

The Minister of Finance Didier Reynders issued a press release today announcing that the due date for filing the personal tax returns remained 19 July 2006 but that there was a tolerance to fill in the tax return until 31 July 2006 without having to request for an extension.

The Royal Decree laying down the model for the income year 2005 resident tax return was published in the Official Gazette today (*).

During a press conference last week, the Minister of Finance Didier Reynders has announced that 19 July 2006 will be the due date for filing the tax returns.
