Non-resident Tax Return 2007 – Published Today

The Royal Decree providing the model for the 2006 income year non-resident tax return has been published today in the Official Gazette(*).

The due date is not yet known, but based on informal contacts we have had with the tax authorities, the tax returns should be sent to the taxpayers by mid October 2007.

As was the case last year, non-resident taxpayers will be able to download the tax return from the website of the tax authorities, complete it on screen and print off themselves the completed tax return. The taxpayer (and the spouse or legal cohabitant, if applicable) must finally date and sign the printed tax return and send it back (by post) to the tax authorities along with the dated and signed official paper version received by (normal) post.
