New due date for salary slips (13 April) and publication of resident tax return

Income year 2006 resident tax return

The Royal Decree laying down the model for the income year 2006 resident tax return was published in the Official Gazette today (1). The due date is not yet officially known, but based on informal contacts we have had with the tax authorities, it is planned to be late June or early July.

Notice to Employers

A notice was published today in the Official Gazette (2) informing of the availability of the Notice to Employers, salary slips and summary statements on the tax authorities’ web site (see also our headline of 7 February 2007)(3). It has been decided that reporting for income year 2006 (earlier announced for 30 March) is postponed to 13 April 2007 (except form 281.50 and statement 325.50, which are due by 30 June 2007).
